Another glorious restoration project, and beautiful results blending old house council building restraints with new design ideas and modern day concepts, like open plan living.
Just look at that facade!
Just look at that facade!

I have to say that the interior in this home is wonderful, but a little unloved, I can't see the family items that make this a home. Maybe they are all out of the way for a better viewing of the home.
It's currently on the market for around $2 Million Big Ones.

You may know by now that I'm not a big fan of pelmets/sways etc... But the pic below does the old "hairdo" justice.

Obviously a heritage home, I think built early 1900's. Therefore open plan living was not the rage back then... but here, they have adapted this modern day phenomenon of open plan, in such a way, it looks like it always was - a perfect renovation!

Even the pelmet and holland blind in this home takes a basic furnishing to a new level because of the detail...

AND what did the agent say:
"Tillbrook" family home in the heart of the Gascoigne Estate
4 bedroom home for sale in malvern east
This 1911 Queen Anne Federation home on an allotment of approx 11,000 sq ft of established grounds is surrounded by a 6 meter high hedging and has been meticulously restored to exacting standards. An elegant formal dining room boasting decorative cornices with a large open fire place overlooks the garden and a large open plan family area also with open fireplace and Carrara Marble hearth with extra large double hung windows flows onto the grounds. Upstairs: study area, separate home office or retreat with a raked ceiling and operable roof windows. Amazing facade....xv
That facade had me at hello. I think I like everything about this house. I might put a bit more color in the kitchen and I would never do white chairs (I'm just imagining all the red wine and pasta sauce disasters), but that's just my personal style.
The facade is just wonderful, its like the dolls house I use to dream about when I was 7!
However the inside is lacking some what, but oh what I could do with it.
