This blog is my *virtual magazine* of stunning homes in Australia currently for sale. The homes are not necessarily perfect (like in a magazine shoot) so you need to forgive some obvious mistakes, and just enjoy seeing how others live, perhaps even take some inspiration from here n' there! (if you see your home here, take a bow because I search high and low before I finally decide to post a home for my blog!) THANKS FOR DROPPING BY...

fabulous home, full of style, initiative, lovely home...
Thanks Kazza!

This is a "wow" facade,
the colours, the use of timber, amazing!

It optimizes QLD living,
open plan, breezy, comfortable,
contemporary flair with classic furniture.

I have seen this kind of bathroom design many a time
in display homes, but this one takes the cake on style!

I love those two toned curtains,
silk and linen by the looks of it - classy!

Look at all that bathroom storage!

And here's the Master Plan!

AND here's what the Agent said!

A Touch of the Hamptons in Herston
With a desirable northerly aspect and bushland setting, this stunning traditional home embodies sophisticated interior design and a well thought out floor plan, offering your family a unique touch of the Hamptons in an ultra convenient Herston location. Set over two spacious levels, on a massive 838sqm level block, just 2kms to the CBD and near a sensational choice of amenities.

With multiple living and entertaining areas, there is ample space for the family to move without sacrificing any of the style or functionality. The lower level is the central entertaining hub with a gourmet kitchen featuring a Carrara marble and American Oak island bench.

The open plan living and dining area is completed with a gas fireplace and further built-in cabinetry. This area adjoins through bi-fold doors with the fantastic outdoor entertaining area with outdoor kitchen and manicured lawns overlooking the inviting 20m lap pool, bordered with Himalayan sandstone.
Also on this level is guest bedroom with private courtyard and bathroom.

The upper level easily accommodates the entire family with 4 well appointed bedrooms, the decadent master bedroom has a garden outlook, a walk-in robe and the added privacy of a lavish ensuite. The main bathroom and family retreat are centrally located to the bedrooms.

Many high quality finishing's and features have been used throughout including black butt timber flooring and staircase, large butlers pantry and hidden study room off kitchen,
two pac finishes, ducted air-conditioning, vacu-maid, integrated sound system and 23,000 litre water tank supply.

Homes of this calibre are very rarely offered to the market that are so conveniently located to such a broad range of schools, shopping and entertainment facilities.

I was worried about having fans in our bedrooms but now I see that it can still look ok, as long as they are white so they blend into the ceiling :)

Thank you so much for commenting on my blog Annie :)

So, your recommendation is to drop the ceiling in the kitchen over both the wall cupboards and the island?

I love the grey VJs and how the living space flows so effortlessly from indoor to outdoor. The Marais stools are everywhere at the moment aren't they. Nicolex

The grey/beige colour is gorgeous....wonder what it is called? I think you might like a house here in Wynnum which was on the market a while ago. I went to see it a couple of times for ideas and adored it. The then owner has a shop called Lily G, hence all the wonderful furniture and decor.
