This blog is my *virtual magazine* of stunning homes in Australia currently for sale. The homes are not necessarily perfect (like in a magazine shoot) so you need to forgive some obvious mistakes, and just enjoy seeing how others live, perhaps even take some inspiration from here n' there! (if you see your home here, take a bow because I search high and low before I finally decide to post a home for my blog!) THANKS FOR DROPPING BY...

The Lindrum 58

Metricon Homes

This home is offered by Metricon Homes, a prominent project home building company, which I had the pleasure of walking through a few days ago, and I must say, it was simply a "draw-dropping" experience. The overall white theme was striking and yet inviting...

I loved this home, just loved it to bits!

The open plan living/dining overlooking the alfresco is noted as spacious and clean looking.
Metricon offer this home, the Lindrum 58, for a base price of $442,400. Yikes!

I have to say, the kitchen in his home blew me away!

The white contrasted with dark timber was simply divine...

This bedroom is not the master, simply one of the kids rooms with it's own ensuite and WIR, not too shabby!

Here's the Master!
The master bedrooms in these large project builder homes are always gorgeous, and this one was absolutely stunning. Spacious, relaxing, elegant and stylish!

This is a perfect example of how to do an elegant effective WIR.

Designated Home Theatres are now a "given" in luxury contemporary homes, even we have one here in our new home! Friends who visit us, and live in older smaller homes, are always "awed" by our home theatre! They are simply luxurious!

...luxury like a fire place, which really offers only little warmth, and ducted heating renders them unnecessary anyway. But doesn't it look nize!!!

An upstairs balcony with shutters for privacy, love it!

Of course it has a designer pool to match!

Indoor/outdoor rooms are so "in" right now, we call them "alfresco".

AND here is the Master Plan if you like, notice how every bedroom has their own bathroom and WIR!

And what does their website say about their home!

I just can't remember when I saw a home and fell in love instantly, but this one has achieved that for me.

Doesn't this room just blow you away!

And then there are these rooms to follow!

It just gets better...

I notice this home is open for inspection tomorrow, I wish so much I could get there, I just don't see that happening!! damn
I'd love to ask the agent more about the interior decorators...

Do you know how bad I want to walk up these stairs - so bad...

What an amazing bedroom!

This home is the epitome of beautiful, to me.

Those lights over to the right of the view, that's Melbourne city in all it's glory!

The Mariott 48

Porter Davis Homes

My DH and I went through this display home today, and loved it. When I asked my DH why he loved it he said because it looks so nice, so what he was really saying was he loved the interior decor, not so much the layout of the home!

As displayed at Point Cook in Melbourne

This display home is built by Porter Davis Homes and is called The Mariott 48. It is currently on display at the Alamanda display at Point Cook, around 30mins drive from Melbourne CBD. All PD's displays are decorated by Hopetoun Interiors, and frankly, they are imo, the best displays around.

Upstairs rumpus room

Home Theatre

This home is styled French Provincial, but PD's interiors and wide ranged and probably just about something for all tastes... French Provincial is a huge fav of my DH.

Master Bedroom

It is a stunning two storey house which has a basic list price of $332,000, but as displayed, you are probably more likely going to be spending around $380,000, and of course, that is NOT including land.

Lounge Room

Living Area

I just find the display homes such a wealth of inspiration and information on what is new, and what is old. It is also a great way to see a home before kids have completely "personalised" the space and it is no longer recognisable from your original dream!!!

(but hey, that's what we want isn't it!!)

Dining Room

Bed 4

Bed 3

Bed 2

Stiff display home decor competition comes from other top building companies including Henley Homes and Metricon Homes, which I will post some of their homes from time to time as well.

And here's the Master Plan
