Hello

This blog is my *virtual magazine* of stunning homes in Australia currently for sale. The homes are not necessarily perfect (like in a magazine shoot) so you need to forgive some obvious mistakes, and just enjoy seeing how others live, perhaps even take some inspiration from here n' there! (if you see your home here, take a bow because I search high and low before I finally decide to post a home for my blog!) THANKS FOR DROPPING BY...

Thanx Jennie for the tip off on this lovely home,
I've done a couple like this.
Some people (probably female!)
absolutely love french provincial style
and decorate to the exact style.

I love french provincial things too,
but I must admit I prefer to mix my styles up a bit,
but of course, everyone's different!

I love these sofas and chairs!

I think the stair bannister is my favorite part of the whole house,
I've never seen them done like this before - gorgeous!!!

Oh I do love those mannequins!

I love bedrooms with mannequins in them!!!
Specially ball gowns!

How bout that for a girls room!

What a great teenagers room!

AND This is what the Agent said about it!

Chic Hamptons - Provincal Beach House !

A family size home with 6 bedrooms plus study and close to Wynnum/Manly’s picturesque waterfront. Such a wonderful blend of practicality for every day family living ….. with many truly exquisite features imported from the provences of France and Europe …..

French cast iron water feature in the main entry foyer ….. beautiful porcelain handles for the ‘Garsden & Clarke’ provincial kitchen with butlers pantry ….. light fittings and taps from Europe and French chandeliers that capture the lights cast by the dancing flames of the gas log fireplace ……. everything contributes to create the heart of this home!

Morning light streams through the white glass French doors with highlites above to the open plan lounge, dining and kitchen areas and upstairs living flows out to the front terrace …. where you can catch bay glimpses and the cooling bay breezes by day and enjoy balmy evenings as you entertain alfresco style!

Three living areas accommodate all the requirements of various family members with main living upstairs ….. rumpus room downstairs that opens to spacious back garden, patio and grassed area and ….. the ‘pool’ room adjacent to the paved outdoor entertainment area around the spa and crystal clear in-ground pool ….. complete with infloor cleaning system and sheer decent waterfalls ….. refreshing ….. and simply stunning!

Fully ducted air conditioning provides comfort when needed, cabling for sound and data throughout, low maintenance ceramic tiling, sisal carpet to stairs and wool carpet in the bedrooms.

WOW

Just gorgeous! I'm like you too though Annie, I love the style but would add a bit more colour to the house rather than just the mainly beige colour palette. Thanks for sharing, Jxx

Hi Annie - thanks for your lovely comments on my blog. Had a look at your cottage too, wow what a job you've done there. Beautiful. Tell me, you mentioned getting marble on Ebay - are you prepared to divulge your sources? And those gorgeous traditional mixers in the bathrooms? Great taste. Oh, and you featured my sister's house in Burrawang a few months back - which she decorated herself and I'm so sad to say they have sold it - will be sorely missed. Thanks for getting in touch. Mx
