This blog is my *virtual magazine* of stunning homes in Australia currently for sale. The homes are not necessarily perfect (like in a magazine shoot) so you need to forgive some obvious mistakes, and just enjoy seeing how others live, perhaps even take some inspiration from here n' there! (if you see your home here, take a bow because I search high and low before I finally decide to post a home for my blog!) THANKS FOR DROPPING BY...

French inspired?
Colonial inspired?
Eclectic maybe, but def stylish!

I really like the colours they have used,
and they def have gone with simple styling,
probably just to sell, but still, looks great!

Great size kitchen!

There isn't one thing in the above bedroom I like alone,
but together, I think they look wonderful.

Great neutral taupe colour, offset by bright white.

Stainless steel benchtop, nice floors, white walls,
I'd be so happy with this laundry!

And here's the Master Plan!

AND here's what the Agent said about it!

Elegant family living on top of the world
Set high on a glorious Paddington hill, surrounded by birdsong, this impeccable traditional Queenslander is ready to be enjoyed by the most fastidious of families.

Behind the white picket fence and immaculate landscaped grounds, this north-facing home has multiple living and entertaining spaces.

Spanning two spacious levels, a meticulous renovation has fused the best elements of a classic traditional home with today's sumptuous conveniences. Glorious period features of fretwork, VJ walls, soaring ceilings, stained glass and gleaming wooden floors sit perfectly with air-conditioning, bi-fold doors and shutters. A soothing white palette captures the natural light in every room.

The first level comprises expansive living and dining areas and a library/media room, along with a full bathroom and laundry room. The Hamptons-inspired kitchen with Caesar stone, stainless benches and full Euro appliances is stunning yet practical and boasts its own entertaining deck.

Five bedrooms grace the upper level. The main is a gorgeous retreat with massive walk-in wardrobe, large ensuite and private north facing deck. This level also has a private sitting area and another bathroom. A French inspired terrace is ideal for children's play.

All in a dress circle location, close to shops, restaurants and schools

I enjoyed seeing this old home after it's refurbishment,
as it reminded me of the property I'm currently fixing up
at my town cottage!

See the timber shingles on the roof above,
that's whats on my roof, but mine's been covered over by iron!

There's no doubt,
these original floors are spectacular!

Interesting ceiling choice here,
and I love it!

  • Bedrooms: 4
  • Bathrooms: 2
  • Land Size: 653 m² (approx)
Outdoor Features
  • Garage Spaces: 2

Ok, so it's pretty obvious, pretty quickly,
that this home hasn't been decked out by an interior designer,
but I love the bones of the home,
and I also like the way the owners have kept it neutral,
but still inviting like a family home.

I think this use of timber and white is perfection in heritage homes atm.

Nice outdoor areas...

And here's the Master Plan!

AND here's what the Agent said about it!

Character Home with a hint of Charm
NESTLED amongst the heritage precinct of Claremont, there is an elegant ease to this turn of the century home - one that more contemporary houses lack. The gorgeous crme and white character facade is offset by a meticulously landscaped terraced garden, with a flourishing Frangipani tree.

Inside, the home is warm and inviting, like the type of friends home you always wanted to stay over as a child. There are four bedrooms and two bathrooms, plus a loft style study with inbuilt cabinetry on the second floor. High decorative ceilings, sash windows and Victorian French doors feature throughout, all hallmarks of the era that was.

The entry passage leads through to the rear wing where a spacious, rustic inspired timber kitchen with a range hood, tile splashback and dual ovens, overlooks the dining area, offering a place for the family to convene after school and work. The lounge room occupies a pocket to the left of the kitchen and also features tall sash windows, giving a glimpse of the garden that lies before it.

Plantation shutter bifold doors divide a shady alfresco from the pool which features a vine covered limestone wall as a backdrop. The rest of the grounds are comprised of landscaped garden beds surrounding an expansive lawn area with a towering tree at the bottom of the garden - a garden you could sit in for hours.

The master bedroom is on the second level of the home.Through cedar shutters, it enjoys tree top aspects from every window, providing the most tranquil of views to wake up to each morning.

This fantastic family home could hardly be in a more convenient location. The newly opened Claremont Quarter is just a two minute walk away, as are prestigious private schools, public transport and cafes, restaurants and bars.

Reserve Street is more than a location, it is a lifestyle.

Jennifer's new pad in New York?

Price range: $15 Million
(I'd put USD here, but atm, Aussie dollars are bigger than the USD!!!)

This home featured in this article in the Daily Mail is being sold
fully furnished and Jennifer Aniston is rumoured to be purchasing it
for around $15 Million, but it's only a rumour!!!
I just loved the styling of the home,
see what you think of the neat pad!

This is a Manhattan two-story pre-war residence.

The two-story home has just undergone a two-year renovation
and has views over the Hudson river & Empire State Building.

As well as wraparound terraces off every
the duplex has two large, private terraces.

I think these bedrooms are both gorgeous!

The Agent said this home was featured in
Australia House & Garden, but it doesn't say which one!

I really like those white barcelona chairs above
that are so "en vogue" atm!

I like the open fire above, dividing the rooms.

Nice kitchen set up actually...

Lotsa cushions on these beds!!

I think that ladder rail looks good there,
sometimes people don't get it this good,
and it ends up looking silly to me.

Lotsa typical QLD outdoor weather facilities!

AND here's the Master Plan!
